New Directions in CBT for Psychosis (CBTp)
Interview with Dr Farooq Naeem, Queens University, Canada - Interview at APA Atlanta
Dr Naeem believes it is an exciting time for Cognitive Behavoural Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), as increacingly it can be effectively delivered in cost prohibitive settings, for example, brief and low-intensity formats and guided online self-help apps. Standard CBTp tends to involve around 16 sessions (12 to 20 sessions) over 4 to 6 months, while brief CBTp involves around 6 to 10 sessions, in less than 4 months.
